Minatitlán/Coatzacoalcos International Airport is the main air gateway for the southern Veracruz cities of Minatitlán and Coatzacoalcos. The airport is located in the Canticas area of Cosoleacaque municipality, between the two cities, and mainly handles domestic air traffic for the surrounding industrial region.
The airport moved to its current location in 1990 and operates from a single-story passenger terminal that combines check-in, security, arrivals and baggage claim in one building. Scheduled service currently focuses on the route between MTT and Mexico City, operated by Aeroméxico Connect.
It is situated roughly 11–15 km from Minatitlán and around 12–18 km from Coatzacoalcos, with access via the federal highway connecting the two cities. Taxis, private transfers and car rental provide onward travel to city centres, hotels, industrial facilities and other parts of southern Veracruz.
