Mili Island Airport is a small public-use airstrip serving the village of Mili on Mili Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. It provides an important air link between this remote atoll and Majuro, the national capital, and is used mainly for local passenger travel, freight and medical evacuation flights.
The airport was activated in June 1983 and has a single grass runway, designated 05/23, measuring about 2,850 by 75 feet (869 by 23 metres). There is no conventional passenger terminal; operations are handled from basic open-air shelter areas beside the runway.
Located about 1 kilometre from the village of Mili and roughly 74 miles (119 kilometres) from Majuro, the airport has no road-based public transport. Onward travel around the atoll is normally arranged in advance by lagoon boat or with a local host.
Facilities are minimal, with no shops, restaurants, lounges, Wi-Fi, fuel or formal security screening. Travelers should confirm flights with Air Marshall Islands, bring essential supplies, and coordinate arrival and departure transport before flying.
