Mid-Carolina Regional Airport is a publicly owned general aviation airport serving Salisbury, Rowan County and the surrounding Piedmont region of North Carolina. Opened in 1938, it was known for many years as Rowan County Airport before taking its current name.
Located about three miles southwest of downtown Salisbury, the airport supports private, corporate, charter and flight training activity rather than scheduled commercial airline service. Its single asphalt runway and county-operated FBO handle arrivals, departures, fueling, maintenance and aircraft parking.
