Mettel Field is a public general aviation airport serving Connersville, the seat of Fayette County in east-central Indiana. It opened in February 1946 and is owned by the Connersville Board of Aviation Commissioners, supporting private flights, agricultural operations, and local business travel in the region.
Located about three miles north of downtown Connersville, the airport operates without a control tower and handles general aviation traffic rather than scheduled commercial flights. Its main runway is an asphalt, grooved surface measuring 6,503 feet, complemented by a shorter turf runway, with instrument approaches available for pilots.
