McAlester Regional Airport is a publicly owned general aviation airport serving McAlester, Pittsburg County, and the surrounding southeastern Oklahoma region. It supports private, charter, corporate, and business aviation rather than scheduled commercial airline flights, and it functions as a regional business gateway for the area.
The airport was activated in June 1951 and has continued to serve the region with a single concrete runway, Runway 2/20, measuring 5,602 feet in length. A new 4,500-square-foot terminal opened in October 2025, replacing the older facility and providing modern space for pilots, passengers, and airport operations.
Located about three miles southwest of downtown McAlester, the airport is a short drive from the city center, Choctaw Casino McAlester, and nearby communities.
