Marion County Regional Airport is a county-owned general aviation airport serving Flippin and the north central Arkansas Ozarks. It opened in October 1948 and remains an open-to-the-public facility used for private, business and recreational flying, with no scheduled airline service.
Located about one mile north of the Flippin city centre, the airport is built around a single asphalt runway, Runway 4/22, which measures 5,001 feet by 75 feet. The field has no control tower, and pilots use the common traffic advisory frequency with medium-intensity runway lighting, PAPI and runway end identifier lights for approaches.
The airport provides access to a popular outdoor recreation region, including Mountain Home, Bull Shoals Lake, the White River and Buffalo National River. Ground connections are made by road using taxis, rental cars, private transfers or group vehicles.
