Marinduque Airport (MRQ)

Marinduque Airport is the only airport serving the island province of Marinduque in the Mimaropa region of the Philippines. Located in Barangay Masiga in the municipality of Gasan, near the border with the provincial capital Boac, it functions as the island's principal air gateway for domestic travel.

After a period without scheduled commercial flights, the airport reopened in April 2019 following a rehabilitation that included a new passenger terminal building, air conditioning, X-ray machines and CCTV. The runway was extended from 1,400 meters of asphalt to a 1,534-meter concrete surface, allowing the airport to handle turboprop aircraft such as the ATR 72.

The airport lies approximately 8 km from Gasan town center and about 15 km from Boac. Travelers can continue to island towns by tricycle, jeepney, hotel pickup or rental motorcycle, with road access via the island's circumferential road.

As a compact domestic facility, the airport offers a single passenger terminal with basic services and serves Cebgo flights to and from Manila, typically three times a week. It provides essential connectivity for residents and visitors traveling to the island's beaches, cultural sites and the annual Moriones Festival during Holy Week.
