Maputo International Airport (MPM), also known as Mavalane International Airport, is the main international airport serving Maputo and the largest airport in Mozambique. It is located about 3 km northwest of the city centre and acts as the primary gateway for domestic and international travel.
The airport has an international terminal opened in 2010 and a separate domestic terminal. The international terminal was designed to handle around 900,000 passengers per year and includes 14 check-in counters, while the domestic terminal serves flights within Mozambique.
