Maniwaki Airport is a small regional airport serving Maniwaki and the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau in Quebec's Outaouais region. It primarily supports private aviation, charter flights, business travel and aero-tourism rather than scheduled commercial airline service.
The airport is located in Messines, approximately 12 km south of Maniwaki. Its single paved and lighted runway is about 1,524 metres long and 45 metres wide, and it also accommodates forest protection and regional support aircraft, including operations linked to the Société de protection des forêts contre le feu (SOPFEU).
Since 1997, the airport has been managed by the Régie intermunicipale de l'aéroport de Maniwaki. The compact terminal includes a waiting area, and the site provides aviation fuel services as well as approach lighting for pilots.
Maniwaki and the surrounding Gatineau Valley are most easily reached from the airport by taxi, pre-arranged transfer or rental car. The airport's role as a regional aviation hub makes it a practical access point for travelers and businesses moving through western Quebec.
