Majors Airport (GVT) is a city-owned public airport serving Greenville, Texas, and the surrounding Hunt County area. The airfield opened in June 1942 as Majors Field, a United States Army Air Forces training center named for Lieutenant Truett Majors, and was formally dedicated in January 1943.
Today the airport is primarily a general aviation facility and is home to the L3Harris Mission Integration Division, which carries out aircraft modification work. It covers about 1,525 acres and operates a single asphalt runway, 17/35, measuring 8,030 by 150 feet, along with a fixed-base operator that serves pilots and passengers.
