About Lowcountry Regional Airport
Lowcountry Regional Airport is a public-use general aviation airport serving Walterboro and Colleton County in South Carolina's Lowcountry region. The airfield was dedicated on June 15, 1933 as the C.C. Anderson Landing Field and later served as Walterboro Army Airfield during World War II.
Located about two nautical miles northeast of central Walterboro, the airport provides private and business aviation access to the Lowcountry and coastal South Carolina. It is within roughly an hour's drive of Charleston and Beaufort and offers an alternative gateway to destinations such as Savannah and Columbia.
The airport is jointly owned and operated by the City of Walterboro and Colleton County. It has three runways and a general aviation terminal with an FBO, pilot and VIP lounges, a conference room, and supporting passenger services for visiting crews and travelers.
Because there is no scheduled airline service, most arriving passengers continue by private transfer, chauffeur, rental car or pre-arranged ground transportation to Walterboro and nearby cities and resorts across the region.
