Louisa County Airport, commonly known as Freeman Field, is a public-use general aviation airport serving the town of Louisa and Louisa County in Central Virginia. Dedicated in May 1984 as Freeman Field, it was named for Rear Admiral DeWitt L. Freeman, who led the volunteer effort to develop the airport, and it began operations in 1987.
The airport is located about two miles southeast of the central business district of Louisa. It has a single asphalt runway, designated 9/27, measuring approximately 4,300 by 100 feet, and sits at an elevation of around 494 feet.
The field supports private flying, business aviation, flight training, and aerial tours, with a full-service FBO offering aviation fuel and aircraft maintenance. Passenger facilities include a terminal and lounge, pilot lounge, flight planning area, hangar and tiedown parking, and delivered rental cars.
