Lokichogio Airport, with IATA code LKG and ICAO code HKLK, is a small airport serving Lokichogio town in Turkana County, northwestern Kenya, close to the borders with South Sudan, Uganda and Ethiopia. During the Second Sudanese Civil War it became a major logistics base for Operation Lifeline Sudan, supporting large-scale humanitarian flights into southern Sudan.
Located about 1 km west of Lokichogio town and roughly 30 km from the South Sudan border, the airport has a single asphalt runway and one compact terminal building. Today it mainly handles domestic, charter and relief operations rather than extensive scheduled commercial services.
Onward travel is by road. The town centre is only a short drive away, while Lodwar, the Turkana County capital, lies about 200 km to the southeast, and Kakuma and other Turkana West destinations are reachable by road.
