Linden Airport is a publicly owned general aviation airport serving Linden and Union County, New Jersey. Opened in 1942, the airport is located about one mile southeast of downtown Linden, alongside U.S. Route 1&9, and functions as a general aviation reliever airport near Newark Liberty International Airport.
The airport operates a single paved runway, 09/27, which is approximately 4,140 feet long. There is no airline passenger terminal; instead, private aircraft, charters, flight schools and helicopter sightseeing operations are supported from the on-site FBO and general aviation facilities.
Linden Airport sits close to major road links, including the New Jersey Turnpike, Garden State Parkway and Interstate 78, and is roughly 12 miles from Lower Manhattan.
