Naval Air Station Lemoore is a U.S. Navy master jet base located about 7 miles (11 km) west of Lemoore, California, in the San Joaquin Valley. Established in 1961, it supports Pacific Fleet carrier aviation and is home to the Commander, Strike Fighter Wing Pacific and the Commander, Joint Strike Fighter Wing.
The air station operates two long parallel concrete runways, each roughly 13,500 feet, and hosts F/A-18 Super Hornet and F-35C Lightning II squadrons. As a working military airfield rather than a public commercial airport, its air operations focus on training, readiness, and transient military aircraft.
Access is primarily by road via State Route 198, with Lemoore just to the east and Fresno approximately 40 miles (65 km) to the north.
