The airport was activated in June 1942 and remains a compact general aviation field with a single asphalt runway, Runway 12/30, measuring 2,505 by 48 feet. It is privately owned but open to the public, and it operates without a control tower; pilots coordinate traffic on the common traffic advisory frequency.
On-site facilities include 100LL aviation fuel, aircraft tie-downs, airframe and powerplant maintenance, flight training, aircraft rental, and a pilot lounge. The small passenger terminal supports general aviation arrivals and departures rather than scheduled commercial airline service.
