Lawrence Municipal Airport is a general aviation airport serving Lawrence, North Andover, and the Merrimack Valley region of northeastern Massachusetts. Established in 1934, it operates as a public-use reliever airport that helps ease demand at Boston Logan International Airport while supporting business, charter, and private aviation.
Located about two miles east of central Lawrence, the airport provides access to the Lawrence and Ward Hill industrial parks and serves corporate, recreational, and flight-training traffic. It was named in 1953 in honor of Sergeant Richard F. Conlon, a decorated World War I veteran.
The airport has two paved runways, a staffed control tower operating from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and multiple fixed-base operators offering fuel, hangars, and maintenance. Road links connect LWM to Lawrence, Lowell, Nashua, New Hampshire, and Boston, which is roughly 30 miles to the south.
