About Las Heras Airport
Las Heras Airport is a small public-use airport serving Las Heras, a town in the oil and gas production region of Santa Cruz Province in southern Argentina. It supports regional travel, charter operations and flights linked to the surrounding Patagonian energy industry.
Located about 3 km west of central Las Heras and accessed by Provincial Route 18, the airport has a compact terminal and a single asphalt runway. Its operations focus mainly on domestic and regional traffic rather than large-scale commercial aviation.
The airport's small size means amenities are limited, so travelers often arrange ground transport in advance. Taxis, private transfers and rental vehicles connect the airport with Las Heras town, Comodoro Rivadavia and other parts of Santa Cruz Province.
As a modest regional gateway, Las Heras Airport provides a practical arrival and departure point for workers, business travelers and visitors moving through southern Patagonia.
