Las Cruces International Airport is a city-owned public airport serving Las Cruces and Doña Ana County in southern New Mexico. It operates primarily as a regional general aviation facility and also supports limited scheduled passenger service that resumed in January 2023.
Built in 1942 as part of the World War II airfield program, the airport was later transferred to civilian control in 1955 and has grown into a busy hub for general aviation, flight training, and corporate travel. Its three runways and on-site fixed-base operators support a wide range of aircraft operations.
The airport sits on the West Mesa directly off Interstate 10, about 9 miles (14 km) west of downtown Las Cruces and roughly 45 miles north of El Paso, Texas. Travelers can reach the city by rental car, taxi, private transfer, or hotel shuttle services.
