About Land's End Airport
Land's End Airport is the most south-westerly airport on mainland Britain, located near St Just in Penwith, Cornwall. Owned by the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group, it operates year-round Skybus flights to St Mary's Airport, providing a lifeline service for the Isles of Scilly. Scheduled flying at the site dates back to 1937, when the first commercial service took off for St Mary's.
The airport is a compact, single-terminal facility. The current passenger terminal opened in 2013 following a £1 million redevelopment, with a café, dedicated arrivals area, baggage handling, an air traffic control tower and secure car parks. Skybus has been based at the airport since 1984 and began its scheduled Land's End to St Mary's service in 1987.
Situated about 9 km west of Penzance, the airport sits close to St Just and the Land's End coastline. The route 8 bus links the airport with Penzance and St Just, while taxis, private transfers and car rental provide onward travel across west Cornwall.
