About Lanai Airport
Lanai Airport is the only airport serving the island of Lanai and provides a vital interisland link for residents and visitors. Scheduled flights connect Lanai with Honolulu and Kahului, making it an important gateway for travel within Maui County and the Hawaiian Islands.
Located about 6 km (3.4 miles) southwest of Lanai City, the airport has a single runway and one passenger terminal. The current terminal, a one-story building opened in 1994, includes check-in, security screening and baggage claim in a compact layout designed for interisland operations.
The airport is reached by road from Lanai City in roughly 10 minutes, and resort areas such as Manele Bay and Hulopoe Bay are a short drive away. Taxis, hotel shuttles, private transfers and rental cars provide onward travel around the island.
With its small terminal, relaxed atmosphere and convenient location, Lanai Airport offers a straightforward arrival and departure experience for travelers exploring the island.
