LaGrange-Callaway Airport (LGC)

LaGrange-Callaway Airport is a public general aviation airport serving LaGrange, Troup County, and the broader West Georgia region. It handles private, corporate, charter, and flight training traffic, and functions as a convenient alternative for general aviation travelers avoiding busier commercial hubs.

The airport is located about 3 miles (5 km) southwest of downtown LaGrange. It has two paved runways, including a main instrument runway with ILS, VOR, and GPS approaches, and it operates without a control tower. Because the field sits just outside Atlanta's Class B airspace, pilots typically encounter less congestion than at larger regional airports.

Its FBO terminal provides passenger and pilot lounges, a crew rest area, kitchen, flight planning room, conference room, Wi-Fi, and a courtesy car. On-site services include aviation fuel, aircraft maintenance, flight training, catering, and hangar and tiedown parking, and the airfield hosts the local Civil Air Patrol squadron.

The airport is reached from Airport Parkway, a short drive from downtown LaGrange and Interstate 85, which links the area to Atlanta roughly 70 miles to the northeast. This road access makes it practical for travelers continuing to West Point Lake, Callaway Gardens, Columbus, and destinations in nearby east Alabama.
