Kuini Lavenia Airport (NTT)

Kuini Lavenia Airport is a small domestic airport serving Niuatoputapu, a remote island in Tonga's northern Niua group. It provides an essential air link between this outer island and the rest of Tonga, with limited domestic flights connecting Niuatoputapu to Vava'u and the capital island of Tongatapu.

The airport has a simple layout built around a single unsealed coral and grass runway and a small passenger terminal. Operations are visual flight rules only, and the airfield has no night lighting, so flights are generally scheduled during daylight hours.

Located about 3 km from Hihifo, the main village of Niuatoputapu, the airport is reached by local road. Travelers can continue to Hihifo and other villages such as Falehau and Vaipoa by pre-arranged transfers, local vehicles or transport organized through accommodation providers.

Although facilities at the airport itself are limited, it functions as a convenient gateway for visitors arriving to explore Niuatoputapu's beaches and village life, and for residents traveling between the northern islands and the rest of Tonga.
