About Kingman Airport
Kingman Airport is a public general aviation airport serving Kingman and northwestern Arizona. The site opened in 1943 as Kingman Army Airfield, one of the largest aerial gunnery training bases in the United States during World War II, and later became a storage and reclamation center for surplus military aircraft.
Today the airport operates two asphalt runways and a single terminal building, supported by an on-field fixed-base operator offering fuel, maintenance, aircraft rental and pilot services. It also functions as the Kingman Airport and Industrial Park, hosting aviation, storage and industrial activity for the city.
