Kerrville Municipal Airport / Louis Schreiner Field is a public-use general aviation airport serving Kerrville and the Texas Hill Country. It opened in February 1943 as Louis Schreiner Field and was used by the United States Army Air Forces as a training base before being transferred to local government for civil use.
Located about five miles southeast of downtown Kerrville, the airport serves private, business and flight training aviation rather than scheduled airline traffic. It has two asphalt runways, a 6,004-foot primary runway and a 3,597-foot crosswind runway, and no air traffic control tower.
The airport is home to Mooney International and several aviation businesses, including fixed-base operator Kerrville Aviation. The terminal building provides a public waiting area with Wi-Fi and a FlightAware monitor, a pilots' lounge with shower, a conference room and flight planning resources.
