Kenmore Air Harbor Seaplane Base is Seattle's downtown seaplane airport, located on Lake Union just north of the city centre. Operated by Kenmore Air, it connects the city to the San Juan Islands, Victoria in British Columbia, and scenic flight destinations across the Pacific Northwest.
The first seaplane flight from Lake Union was made by William Boeing in 1916, and Kenmore Air has operated commercial seaplane services in the Seattle area since 1946. The base uses a single 5,000-by-500-foot water landing area designated runway 16/34, with seaplanes boarding directly from the dock.
