Karshi International Airport (KSQ)

Karshi International Airport is the main airport serving Karshi, the administrative centre of the Qashqadaryo Region in southeastern Uzbekistan. The airport began operation in 1960 and has since been developed through several reconstruction projects, including a new terminal complex in 1977 and a major modernisation that started in 2022 to improve capacity and passenger comfort. Uzbekistan Airways operates the airport and connects it with domestic and international destinations.

Located about 15 km southwest of central Karshi, the airport handles domestic flights, including services to Tashkent, as well as international routes to destinations such as Moscow and Saint Petersburg. A single passenger terminal serves both domestic and international traffic, supported by a runway of around 3,000 metres.

The airport is reached mainly by taxi and pre-arranged road transport from Karshi and surrounding areas, with car rental also available at the terminal for independent onward travel.

Passenger facilities include a waiting hall, café, shops, a duty-free area, medical point, mother-and-child room, baggage storage and currency exchange, making the airport a practical regional gateway for both leisure and business travelers.
