About Termez International Airport
Termez International Airport is the main airport serving Termez and the surrounding Surxondaryo region in southern Uzbekistan, close to the border with Afghanistan. It connects the area with domestic cities such as Tashkent and Samarkand and supports a limited number of international routes, mainly to Russia and Turkey.
The airport began operating in 1941 and has been modernized in stages since then. It operates from a single passenger terminal and a 3,000-metre runway, serving both scheduled and charter flights while operating around the clock.
Located approximately 5 km from central Termez, the airport is reached by taxi, ride-hailing services such as Yandex Go, limited bus links and road connections, making onward travel to the city centre relatively quick.
