Tashkent International Airport is the main international airport serving Tashkent and Uzbekistan, and the principal hub for Uzbekistan Airways. Opened in 1932 and renamed in 2017 after the country's first president, it connects the capital with domestic destinations and international routes.
Located about 6 km south of central Tashkent, the airport handles both domestic and international traffic. Passenger operations are divided between Terminal 2, used for international flights, and Terminal 3, used for domestic flights, with two runways serving airline movements.
