About Kalibo International Airport
Kalibo International Airport is the main international gateway serving Kalibo, Aklan province and the nearby island resort of Boracay. Located about 3 km east of Kalibo town proper, it connects the province with domestic destinations and international charter and scheduled services, carrying both leisure and business travelers.
The airport has separate domestic and international passenger terminal buildings. Its international terminal was expanded and improved, with work completed in September 2020 and the upgraded facility inaugurated in June 2021, while a new passenger terminal building was inaugurated in 2010 as part of earlier modernization efforts.
Kalibo International Airport is also a practical alternative entry point for Boracay, roughly 68 km from Caticlan Jetty Port in Malay. Travelers typically continue by van or bus to Caticlan and then by boat to Boracay, or use taxis and tricycles for the short trip into Kalibo town.
