About Jonesboro Municipal Airport
Jonesboro Municipal Airport serves Jonesboro and the surrounding Northeast Arkansas region as a public-use commercial service airport. The airport was activated in April 1940 after construction by the United States Army Air Corps, and commercial airline service began in the early 1950s.
Located at 3901 Lindbergh Drive, about 3 miles east of the central business district, the airport sits on roughly 1,000 acres with two asphalt runways. It primarily supports general aviation, while scheduled passenger service is provided by Southern Airways Express with flights to St. Louis and Nashville.
In March 2020, an EF3 tornado destroyed the airport's commercial terminal and damaged much of its infrastructure. Passenger services currently operate through the FBO terminal building while a new 13,300-square-foot commercial terminal is under construction.
