About Jalaluddin Airport
Jalaluddin Airport (GTO) is the main airport serving Gorontalo City and Gorontalo Province in northern Sulawesi, Indonesia. Located about 30 km west of the city centre in Gorontalo Regency, it is the province's primary gateway for domestic air travel, connecting the region with major Indonesian cities.
The airport's current passenger terminal opened in May 2016 and is spread over two floors, covering roughly 11,865 square metres with capacity for about 2,500 passengers. It replaced a much smaller older terminal and was built to accommodate the province's growing passenger traffic, with two aerobridges and a 2,500 m runway.
GTO is served by airlines including Garuda Indonesia, Batik Air, Lion Air, Citilink and Wings Air, with routes to Jakarta, Makassar, Manado, Surabaya and other domestic destinations. The airport handles domestic flights only and has no immigration or customs facilities.
Ground transport includes the DAMRI airport bus, taxis, private transfers and car rental, connecting the airport with Gorontalo City and surrounding areas. With cafés, shops, lounges and other passenger amenities, the terminal offers a convenient starting point for exploring the region.
