Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport is a public-use airport serving Thermal and the surrounding Coachella Valley in Riverside County, California. Established in August 1942, the airport began as a World War II air support base and later took the name of pioneering aviator Jacqueline Cochran.
Located roughly 20 miles southeast of central Palm Springs, the airport functions primarily as a general aviation facility for private, business and charter aircraft, with fixed-base operators providing passenger services and aircraft support.
