Ísafjörður Airport (IFJ) is a domestic airport serving the town of Ísafjörður and the wider Westfjords region in northwestern Iceland. Operated by Isavia, it is the main air link for the largest settlement in the Westfjords and connects the area with Reykjavík Domestic Airport.
Located about 5 km from the town centre, the airport is reached in a short drive along Route 64. It is one of three airports in the Westfjords, alongside Bíldudalur and Gjögur, and plays an important role in keeping the region accessible, particularly in winter when mountain roads can close.
The airport has a single passenger terminal and one asphalt runway. Its mountainous fjord setting requires a distinctive approach, with aircraft following the surrounding terrain before landing.
