Inishmore Aerodrome (IOR)

Inishmore Aerodrome is a small regional airfield serving Inis Mór, the largest of the Aran Islands in County Galway, Ireland. It provides the island's only scheduled air link to the mainland, with Aer Arann Islands flights to Connemara Airport near Inverin and onward connections to the neighbouring islands of Inis Meáin and Inis Oírr.

Located about 2 km southeast of Kilronan village, the aerodrome has a single bituminous runway and one compact passenger terminal. Operations are limited to visual flight rules during daytime hours, and the airfield primarily handles small aircraft used on short island-hopping routes.

The airport is operated by Galway Aviation Services Ltd and has long supported travel to the Aran Islands. Scheduled flights remain weather-dependent, so passengers are advised to confirm departure times with the airline in advance.

Ground connections include a local bus service to Kilronan, taxis and transport arranged on request, while the island is also served by ferries from Rossaveal and Doolin for travellers continuing by sea. Despite its small size, the aerodrome keeps Inis Mór connected for residents and visitors throughout the year.
