In Guezzam Airport (INF) is a national aerodrome serving the town of In Guezzam in Algeria's far southern In Guezzam Province, close to the border with Niger. The airport opened to air traffic in 1983 under the Plan Spécial Aérodromes Sud (PSAS), a programme intended to improve access to remote Saharan communities.
Located about 600 metres west of the town centre, the airport has a single unpaved runway measuring 2,200 by 30 metres, oriented 08/26. Scheduled commercial operations have been suspended since 1995, and the aerodrome is currently attached to Tamanrasset Airport for management purposes.
A new passenger terminal of approximately 1,808 m² is under construction as part of the facility's modernization. Until it is completed, the aerodrome mainly supports limited civil operations, and private flights generally require prior permission.
Because of its remote desert setting, road access is essential. The town lies roughly 10 km north of the Niger border, and onward routes connect In Guezzam with Tamanrasset to the north and the border crossing to the south.
