Hultsfred Airport (HLF)

Hultsfred Airport is a small regional and general aviation airport in Hultsfred Municipality, Kalmar County, in the Småland province of southern Sweden. Located about 5 km north of the town of Hultsfred, it primarily serves private aviation, charter flights and a local flying club. The airfield was built in the 1940s as a military reserve field and opened for civil aviation in 1957. For many years it supported a scheduled route to Stockholm, but that service ended in 2006, and the airport no longer handles scheduled passenger traffic. The airport has a single concrete runway of about 1,945 metres, suitable for a wide range of private and charter aircraft. It is reached by road from Hultsfred via national road 34, with no scheduled public transport, so taxis, private transfers and rental cars are the main onward options. Today the site is privately owned and used for general aviation, flight training, business flights and occasional charter traffic, with fuel, office space and basic terminal facilities available for visiting pilots and passengers.
