Västervik Airport (VVK) is a small general aviation airport about 7 km northwest of Västervik in Kalmar County, Sweden. It serves private aircraft, air taxi and medical helicopter traffic rather than scheduled passenger flights, and is approved for incoming traffic from Schengen countries. Scheduled air service operated between Västervik and Stockholm from 1971 to 1986, but the airport now mainly handles private flying from southern and central Sweden as well as visiting aircraft from Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands. The runway was extended in 2019 to 1,199 metres to support air taxi, ambulance and small charter flights. The airport has one asphalt runway, 15/33, pilot-controlled lighting and aviation fuel including Jet A1 and Avgas 100LL. Its position near the Baltic coast makes it a practical stop for aircraft travelling along the east coast toward Gotland, Öland, Blekinge and northern Germany. Västervik Airport is connected to central Västervik by road, with taxis and private transfers providing onward travel to the town, nearby coastal villages and the surrounding Tjust region.
