Hot Springs County Airport is the public general aviation airport serving Thermopolis, Wyoming, and the surrounding Hot Springs County. Opened in November 2015, the facility replaced an older airfield that was limited by surrounding terrain and lacked the space and standards needed for safer, modern operations.
Located in the Bighorn River valley about 10 miles northwest of Thermopolis, the airport is a regional gateway to Yellowstone Country and serves private pilots, business aviation and general aviation traffic. Its single paved runway, Runway 5/23, is 6,370 feet long and supports instrument approaches.
The airport is reached by road from Thermopolis, and local attractions such as Hot Springs State Park, the Bighorn Mountains and Wind River Canyon are within easy driving distance.
