Hassi R'Mel Airport is a small regional airport serving the town of Hassi R'Mel in Laghouat Province, southern Algeria. Also known as Tilrhemt or Tilrempt Airport, it opened to air traffic in 1996 and has been administratively attached to Ghardaïa Airport since 2004.
The airport is classified as a national civil airport and also handles some international traffic. It serves a remote Sahara region known for one of the world's largest natural gas fields, making it an important link for workers and business travellers as well as local residents.
Located about 4 km from the centre of Hassi R'Mel, the airport has a single passenger terminal and a 3,000-metre runway. Regular flights connect the area with Algiers, operated mainly by Air Algérie and Tassili Airlines.
Taxis are the main road connection from the airport, and the on-site car park has space for around 150 vehicles. From Hassi R'Mel, travellers can continue by road to nearby towns such as Ghardaïa, around 60 km away, and Laghouat, around 104 km away.
