Hanksville Airport is a small public-use airport serving the town of Hanksville in Wayne County, Utah. Opened in 1947, it is owned and managed by the Utah Division of Aeronautics and supports general aviation traffic across the remote east-central Utah region.
Located about 3 miles north of Hanksville, the airport is a convenient landing point for pilots visiting Capitol Reef National Park, Goblin Valley State Park, the Henry Mountains and the Lake Powell area. Its facilities include an asphalt runway, a dirt runway, tiedown parking, pilot-activated lighting and an automated weather station.
The airport is unattended and has no control tower or scheduled airline service, so most travelers continue by private vehicle, rental car or arranged ground transportation along Utah State Route 24 and State Route 95.
