Hale County Airport is a public general aviation airport serving Plainview and Hale County in the south-central Texas Panhandle. Activated in April 1945, the airport is jointly owned by the City of Plainview and Hale County and primarily supports general and corporate aviation.
Located about one mile south of Plainview's central business district, the airport has two asphalt runways. Runway 4/22 is roughly 6,000 feet long, while runway 13/31 provides an additional crosswind runway. The field is non-towered and operates as a general aviation facility rather than a commercial passenger airport.
