Gwinnett County Airport (LZU), also known as Briscoe Field, is a municipal general aviation airport serving Lawrenceville, Gwinnett County and the northeastern Atlanta metro area. Opened in October 1963, it is publicly owned by Gwinnett County and supports private, business and charter aviation rather than scheduled airline service.
Located about two miles northeast of downtown Lawrenceville and roughly 30 miles northeast of Downtown Atlanta, the airport provides a convenient gateway for corporate aircraft, flight training and general aviation traffic across the region. Its single runway, 7/25, is 6,001 feet long and supports instrument approaches, with a staffed air traffic control tower during operating hours.
