Greenwood–Leflore Airport is a public airport serving Greenwood, the county seat of Leflore County, and the surrounding Mississippi Delta region. Originally built as a basic flight training airfield for the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, it opened in 1943 and later became the public airport that serves the area today.
