About Greene County Airport
Greene County Airport is a public-use general aviation airport serving Waynesburg and Greene County in southwestern Pennsylvania. Activated in December 1937, it has supported local and regional flying for decades and remains county-owned.
Located in Franklin Township about two nautical miles east of central Waynesburg, the airport is a non-towered facility with a single 3,500-by-75-foot asphalt runway (09/27). It handles light aircraft, private flights and business aviation, while scheduled commercial service is available at Pittsburgh International Airport about an hour north.
The airport has a small terminal building with a pilot lounge and restrooms, along with 100LL aviation fuel, aircraft tiedowns, hangar space and airframe and engine repair services. Road access is via PA-21 and nearby I-79, making Waynesburg, Morgantown and surrounding communities relatively easy to reach.
As a general aviation field without scheduled passenger service, the airport is well suited to private pilots, charter operators and business travelers, and its proximity to the EverGreene Technology Park supports regional economic activity.
