About Grants-Milan Municipal Airport
Grants-Milan Municipal Airport is a public-use general aviation airport serving the City of Grants, the Village of Milan and Cibola County in western New Mexico. Opened in 1952, it has supported local and regional flying for more than six decades, handling general aviation, business travel, emergency services and recreational aviation.
The airport sits about 3 miles northwest of downtown Grants and operates a single asphalt runway, 13/31, measuring 7,172 feet. The runway can accommodate aircraft ranging from small propeller planes to medium-sized corporate jets, with instrument approaches available.
A small terminal building provides a waiting area, restrooms, vending machines and a pilots' lounge. A recently completed terminal rehabilitation and hangar project expanded the terminal and added an 80-by-80-foot box hangar.
