About Grant County International Airport

Grant County International Airport is a public-use airport serving Moses Lake and the wider Grant County region in central Washington. Originally developed as a World War II training airfield and operated by the U.S. Air Force as Larson Air Force Base until 1966, the site was later transferred to the Port of Moses Lake and renamed Grant County International Airport in the 1990s.

Located about five miles northwest of downtown Moses Lake, the airport is a major aviation and industrial complex with five runways, the longest measuring 13,503 feet. It primarily supports general aviation, corporate and charter operations, cargo, aircraft testing and military training rather than scheduled airline service, which ended in 2010.

The airport sits within a foreign trade zone and serves as a U.S. Customs and Border Protection port of entry, supporting international technical stops and cargo operations. Interstate 90 is a short drive away, linking the airport to Seattle and Spokane and to destinations across the Columbia Basin.

On-site services include a passenger terminal, fixed-base operator facilities, fuel and ground handling, lounges, a café and rental cars, making it a practical gateway for business, agricultural and aviation traffic in the Pacific Northwest.
