Gloucestershire Airport is a general aviation airport serving Cheltenham, Gloucester and the wider Gloucestershire and Cotswolds area. Originally formed in 1936 as Staverton Airport, it is one of the UK's busiest general aviation airports and ranked top in the Civil Aviation Authority's airports for aircraft movements in 2023.
The airport is located at Staverton, around 6.5 km west of Cheltenham and about 10 km from Gloucester city centre, close to the M5 motorway. It supports business aviation, private charter, flight training, helicopter operations and aviation-related businesses, with a main terminal building and FBO and handling facilities on site.
Access by road is straightforward from junctions 10 and 11 of the M5 and the A40. Gloucester and Cheltenham Spa railway stations are a short taxi ride away, and the number 94 bus between Gloucester and Cheltenham stops around 900 metres from the airport entrance.
