Freeman Municipal Airport is a public general aviation airport serving Seymour, Indiana, and Jackson County. The site began as Freeman Army Air Field, established by the United States Army Air Forces in 1942 as a twin-engine pilot training base; it later became the first USAAF helicopter training school and hosted Tuskegee Airmen.
Located about 4 km southwest of central Seymour, the airport covers roughly 2,100 acres and operates two asphalt runways, 5/23 and 14/32, plus two turf runways. A single terminal building provides passenger and pilot facilities, with general aviation and limited air taxi operations.
