Fort Worth Meacham International Airport (FTW)

Fort Worth Meacham International Airport is the oldest operating airport in Fort Worth and a key hub for general aviation, corporate and private flights in North Texas. Established in 1914 and acquired by the City of Fort Worth in 1925, the airport was named after former Mayor Henry C. Meacham and has served the city's aviation needs for more than a century.

The airport covers about 900 acres roughly five miles north of downtown Fort Worth and operates as a reliever for the busier Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. It does not handle scheduled airline flights; instead, its terminal and administration building support private, corporate and charter operations, with fixed-base operators providing fuel, hangar and passenger services.

Situated near the junction of I-820 and US-287, the airport offers straightforward road access to central Fort Worth, the Stockyards, the Cultural District and the wider Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Onsite rental car facilities and ground transportation options help travelers continue to nearby destinations.
